Although young my fiance and I knew from the beginning that we were meant to be. We have been raised in different areas of Texas and it was not fate but God that put us together. After about 2 months of us dating and talking about the fact that we knew that we were meant to be, Peter (my fiance) and I went and looked at engagement rings. We picked out the perfect one and during the next 2 weeks I teased him about hurrying up and he planned the perfect Proposal.

One day I was supposed to go help my youth pastors do some youth stuff. (My youth pastors are my future Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law) My youth pastor said that I needed to go home to get my Bible from my room and it happened. I opened a sliding door that leads to the stairs going up to my room. And on the floor was rose petals.

There were tons of rose petals leading up the stairs, to my bedroom, and all over my bedroom with a note on my bed that read like this:

"I love you so much and I wish I could fully express myself in this note to you. My heart wishes to be so much bigger because it is having a hard time containing the love for you that God has Given me. I pray that the years ahead are filled with as much joy as we have alreaady had in these two short months that we have been together. Now my dear, I must ask you a favor. Please go to the window and look to where we first kissed....."

When I looked out my window he stood outside with a rose in his hand. He asked for me to go down there and I headed downstairs..when I got there I didn't see him but I did find the rose and another note that said this...

"I long to be with you, and I can't wait till WE can finally be TOGETHER. Sooner than either of US expect, WE will be walking down the aisle away from the altar toward the rest of OUR lives...TOGETHER. WE may face difficult times, but God will have all the more Joy in OUR hears because of it. But don't worry too much about what you have to do right now, just go to where you were planning on going before you found these notes...."
Although it wasn't my first thought...I ended up at my youth pastor's house and found a rose and another note.

"Every time out eyes meet, this feeling inside me, is almost more than I can take. Baby when you touch me, I can feel how much you love me and it just blows me away. I've never been this close to anyone or anything. I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams. I don't know how you do what you do, I'm so in love with you, it just keeps getting better. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side, forever and ever..... Go to the place where we will become one...."

I headed to the Church and when I got there went into the Church...the only light on was right above the pulpit and waiting for me there was a rose and a long note (that would be hard to type out and hard for those reading to understand because it is one worded sentences describing out relationship) and a black box. I was told to read the note out loud and to not yet open the black box. After I read the note I was told to open the black box. When I opened the black box there was a rose that we have joked around about because it was falling apart. We had always said that by the time we were engaged it would be torn apart. In the box was that rose crushed up and a note that said turn around. When I turned around there he was...I'm not sure exactly what he said but I do know they were the sweetest words. He said something like this.."I know we haven't been together very long but I can't wait any longer to ask you...(he got on one knee)...will you marry me?"

How could I say no..The Man of my dreams asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. Now here I am the happiest girl alive and I 'm planning my wedding. Fairytales are real ya know. God Bless

Jamie had asked me to take the day of his birthday off. I hesitated but did. We took a motorcycle out east on Long Island. We stopped for lunch in Greenport, near the ferry which goes to Montauk. Afterwards he suggested we walk out to the end of the pier. We when got there it was kind of dark and gloomy. He held me in his arms and asked me if I loved him. Of course I said yes. He then said he loved me and pulled out a box with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen and asked if I would marry him. After I said yes, the sun came out and shined brightly upon us. It was as if I we were meant to be.

I knew from the first time I saw Christine I wanted to get to know her and when we first kissed - I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

I proposed to her in London on one of her layovers. She had no clue that this was happening. I even met her on her flight before she left ( in uniform with radio in hand..she thought that I was working ). I had everything planned out. I told her that I would see her when she got back on Wednesday. She even told me that she wished I could go with her on this trip but I said that it was impossible to get off work at the last minute.

Everything was going as planned. After the door closed and she was off the gate - I quickly drove the work truck to the employee lot to get my clothes. I went back to the break room and had myself listed on the second London flight which left an hour and a half after hers (didn't leave me much time). The flights were wide open. Had no problem getting on the flight.

As we were airborne - I started to think about what I was about to do. That is when all my nerves went out the window I was looking through. I was so nervous about everything. I just kept going through all the things that I am going to do. The words that I would tell her, the arrangement of the room service cart, the flowers, the champagne, and, of course, THE RING.

Well, now I'm three hours into the flight. The flight crew onboard was excited about my plans. They all loved the ring that I picked out. (It is a round center stone in a platinum setting with two princess and two baguettes on each side). A friend of Christine, Yolanta, was on the flight that she hasn't seen in awhile. Yolanta told me that I could hang out in her room to freshen up and get myself ready before I go there. I thought that she helped me out a lot. She even got my nerves to somewhat of a normal state. Yolanta said just to meet her in the lobby of the hotel when we get there so that I know what room she will be in.

We arrived in London and now my nerves are gone again. The sweat is now coming out of me. I made it through Customs and now it's time to find some flowers - then the hotel. Flowers was easy, they had shops that sold flowers. I ended up going to the wrong hotel at first. My mind wasn't all there - remember. I finally got to the hotel and went to the Concierge desk to see about getting room service set up for me. Yolanta then saw me and told what room she was in. I had the room service sent up to that room. I spoke to the Manager and he set up a room service cart up for me. He took the flowers and champagne from me and told me that it would be about 15 minutes. I then went with Yolanta up to her room to get ready for this big moment. Can you imagine if Christine saw me going into another room with some female?

When I got up to the room I was so nervous. My mind wasn't all there - I had to get myself together. Yolanta told me not to worry and that everything will be fine. I then called Christine in her room and told her that I was in the Control Center (back in Newark). She was happy to hear from me. She still didn't think anything was going on since I usually call her on her trips. She was saying how much she wished I could be there. I told her "You'll see me soon - you come back on Wednesday". She then said that she wished I could be there now ( ...only if she knew). I couldn't talk long so I said that the Operations Manager was coming around and that I'll call her later.

About 15 minutes later - room service was knocking at the door. The cart was set up very nice - PERFECT. I told Yolanta to call her and say that she saw me before the flight and that she had a note for her from me and that she will be right over to give it to her. Chris still doesn't know what's going on. So now Chris is waiting for Yolanta to come over. That way - she's expecting someone to knock on the door. When we got to the room - Yolanta knocked on the door and left. There I was standing and waiting with a room service cart.

When she opened the door - even though she was just in her flannel pajamas - she looked so beautiful. I became totally speechless. I thought that I knew what I was gonna say. Emotions started to get the best of me. She asked "What are you doing here - aren't you supposed to be at work?" in a confused way. I still couldn't speak. With tears now falling from my eyes and shaking - good thing that there was a cart to hold me up. All I could say was " Look down, Look down"(in a trembling voice). When she looked - she was totally shocked saying " Get out, Shut up!". " Get in here!" I'm sure the whole hotel heard her.

When I got into the room (well - half way) I held her so close to me. I didn't want her to see me crying. I thought that I screwed the whole thing up. She said that it is perfect. I couldn't even get on one knee - I just held her close and with a shaky voice asked her to marry me. As she held me - feeling me trembling - she said yes (...quite a few times). This is the happiest moment in my life.

We spent the rest of the day around London. I saw Big Ben, Parliament, and, of course, I had to take my Princess to see the Queen, Buckingham Palace. I will never forget this day, August 20th.
